When your accountant stops showing up, I step in.
Emails answered, deadlines met, and a single point of contact.
Who I work best with
I work with service-based businesses — consultants, agencies, advisers, marketers — who've outgrown an accountant that stopped showing up. You'll fit right in if:
✔ You value calm, reliable support. Clear communication, simple processes, work done properly. No drama, no chasing.
✔ You'd rather hand it over than DIY. You don't want to reconcile transactions or second-guess tax rules. You want someone you trust on the details.
✔ You want to feel like a priority again. You've outgrown firms that save their attention for "bigger" clients. You want someone right-sized, with time for you.
✔ You want to be tax-smart, not tax-aggressive. Tidy books, predictable bills, ethical advice. No schemes, no pushing boundaries.
Who I'm not right for
I'm not the right accountant for everyone, and that's okay. You'll probably do better elsewhere if:
❌ You're a fast-growth or VC-backed business. If you need forecasting dashboards, KPI modelling or CFO-style involvement, you'll be better served by a firm built around high-growth advisory.
❌ You want to DIY large parts of your finances. If you'd rather run your own bookkeeping and just have someone glance over it, you'll get more from a DIY tool than from me.
❌ You're always up against the deadline. If information tends to arrive in fragments at the last minute, the relationship won't feel smooth for either of us.
❌ You want to push the boundaries on tax. I optimise tax sensibly and ethically. If you're after aggressive schemes that sail close to the wind, I keep clients compliant, not exposed.
❌ You don't see this as a partnership. I do my best work with people who treat it, and me, with respect. If that's not you, we won't be a fit.
How I help
I keep your financial world running smoothly, so you can focus on the work your business is built on. No overwhelm, no jargon, no unnecessary complexity — just a clear, dependable system that keeps everything in good order.
1. I take HMRC off your plate. VAT, payroll, year-end accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment. Handled properly, consistently, and never left to the last minute.
2. I keep your books clean and current. Multiple platforms and payment systems, kept tidy, accurate and reconciled — so you're never guessing what's been missed.
3. I give you predictable tax, not surprises. You'll always know what's coming, what's due and when. Sensible, ethical tax planning — no schemes, no grey areas.
And I do it all as one named accountant who actually has time for you — clear explanations, timely reminders, and no pressure to buy advisory services you don't need.
How my pricing works
Most people's experience of accountancy pricing is one of three things: a guess, a surprise, or a meter running every time they pick up the phone. I've built mine to be none of those.
Your fee isn't pulled from a list of packages, because you don't run a packaged business. It's worked out from what your business actually needs. Things like your turnover, how many entities you run, your VAT position, payroll, and the state of your books. That means you're never overpaying for a tier built for someone bigger, or squeezed into one that doesn't fit.
But "bespoke" doesn't mean "made up." Every quote runs through the same system, so a business like yours pays what any business like yours would pay — not a figure I've guessed at based on what I think you can afford. It's priced to your needs, not your wallet.
Whatever the number, you'll know it before any work starts. Your fee won't creep mid-year or change because the work got fiddly. What we agree is what you pay. Once a year I review fees to keep pace with rising costs and any change in what you need, and you'll always know about that well ahead of time. Predictable, not a shock in the post.
And it's all spread monthly, so you can budget for it like any other subscription, instead of bracing for a bill once a year.
Compare that to the old way: bill by the hour, and every call has a hidden cost and you only find out the price after the work's done. I'd rather you knew exactly where you stand and felt free to pick up the phone.
